We were very happy w/it- the homemade ice cream is excellent (the "hot" chocolate flavored w/two kinds of peppers was very intense and well worth trying). I got a huge slice of chocolate cake w/a scoop of cinnamon ice cream (the cinnamon was surprisingly light tasting, but that may have been after I sampled the hot chocolate). The folks running the store were very pleasant, and friendly to our kids. The feel of the store makes the experience unique. Absolutely should be anybody's short list (along w/Shane's Candies on the same block of Market) when visiting Old City. We randomly stopped in over the summer to check it out (shortly before the best-of-2006 award), and ever since it has been a bi-weekly habit. At first i was just interested in the ice cream, but now i am equally as addicted to the floats (have you tried a rose-flavored one yet?) Also, damn, those banana splits are big for one person.
