Video: Cooking Duck Eggs

by Messy and Picky

So we went and got ourselves a cool little gadget, a Kodak Zi8 pocket video camera. Picky took the opportunity to show off our awesome range and show how he likes to prepare an egg sandwich, in this case an egg sandwich like the one in this post with the addition of some double hickory smoked bacon from Gap, PA (the best bacon in the land). There's no narration, just the sounds of cooking and clanging in the kitchen. We might be doing some video stuff in the future, pending on how much Picky wants to render files.

  1. [...] is a must link because there is cast iron, bacon, butter, duck eggs and cheese in this video. And, although I use chicken eggs, is pretty much exactly how I make my breakfast [...]

God, you guys really do have the best stove around. And the egg sandwich doesn't look bad either!

Looks delicious! What bread is that? It looks just sturdy enough to support that much cheesy eggy goodness without being overwhelmingly chewy.

Your way ends up prettier and perfectly fine, but I can not resist offering a suggestion – I cut my bacon strips into half so that they fit into a round pan more easily.

    • cut the bacon in half? the horror. that's like breaking pasta! do you break your linguine so that it fits into your pot better? i like the whole pieces of bacon better.
